Later variation; thin slide serrations.  No serial number or slide legend.  This exact pistol is pictured on page 138 of "Savage Pistols."
ABOUT THIS MODEL:  From the book "Savage Pistols" by Bailey Brower Jr.: "Apart from prototypes and ultra-rare special-order guns, Savage's .25-caliber pistols might be the ultimate rarities from the company's line."  It's estimated that only twenty-five were ever built, and not all of those were complete guns.  They rarely appear on the collectors' market.  Over a half century of focused collecting, Bailey was able to acquire four of these little beauties, representing a buying opportunity that will likely never be repeated.

CONDITION:  Very good plus.  Retains 70% to 80% crisp blue, nicely blending with patina giving the appearance of a 98% gun.
