Savage-Stevens prototype for the Model 10 single-shot breack action handgun.  This gun has a barrel latch that is different from production models, and it lacks the markings found on production pistols.  Target sights; adjustable trigger. Notebook of documentation includes copies of catalog listings of model 10 showing it to be different than prototype, correspondence on return to Savage factory for application of a serial  number to comply with NY law, copy of Savage factory letter 1970 explaining this to be a prototype, letters from Mike Carney explaining that this was originally acquired from a Savage V.P.

CONDITION:  Exc.  97% lightly thinning soft blue; tiny spot of pitting on left muzzle.
