Savage made a very few .25 ACP pistols in the 1914 to 1917 era although the model never went into production, presumably hoping to compete with the very successful Colt Model 1908. It weighed 12 oz. with a 2-3/8" barrel, six round capacity, and magazine disconnect safety in addition to manual and grip safeties. This is the early variation with thick slide serrations and a top magazine release. This exact gun is pictured on page135 of the book "Savage Pistols" by Bailey Brower, Jr.
CONDITION: Excellent condition with about 97% original blue remaining.
