Rare factory pearl grips with Savage Indian head logo medallions (estimated that only around 400 Savage pistols of all models had pearl grips.) This gun is also very unusual in that the serial number is out of the usual sequence - a 1907 pistol in the 1917 serial number range. Spur hammer, two-tone magazine. Roe Clark letter shows shipped 4/25/1924 to DETECTIVE DAVID HILL. Also notes that the gun was returned for service & shipped 9/27/27 to Temple & Co. Oneida NY, and states "something of a special nature was done to the pistol prior to the original shipment."
CONDITION: Excellent. 99% blue.
