Jim Supica S&W Model Three collection

Exceptional large frame top-break S&W revolvers ca. 1870-1900 including Americans, Russians, Schofields, New Model #3's, and .44 DA's.  The following guns are among those that will be sold at the RIA Dec. 9-11 Premier Auction:

  • Historic guns - Theodore Roosevelt's New Model #3, Jesse James attributed Schofield, Gen. Leonard Wood's .44 DA, and more.  Also revolvers used by US military, Wells Fargo, and the San Francisco Police.

  • Masterpieces of engraving by Gustave Young, LD Nimschke and others. 

  • Rarities such as S/N 0 Club Guns, revolvers with detachable shoulder stocks, extremely rare models and variations.

Jim Supica Serial Number One guns collection

These are guns that have a serial number of "1" (or 001, 00001, etc.) or which are known to be the first serial number of a particular model or variation.  Most of these will be the first production gun of that particular type.  Some are prototypes or experimentals, vanity serial numbers, or number one of a commemorative or limited production variation.  Examples that will be sold at the RIA Dec. Bailey Brower Jr Savage pistols collection

Rare and high condition Savage pistols and related firearms from the Brower collection. 

The Dec. RIA Premier Auction will include:

  • Finest known cased pair of Savage handguns - Factory engraved 1907s, one gold, one blue, created by the factory for P.J. Noel.

  • .45 caliber Savage pistol made for US military trials that resulted in the adoption of the 1911.

  • Extremely rare .25 ACP Savage pistol

  • Only known example of .38 ACP Savage prototype

  • Rare pearl "Tuxedo" gripped pistol

Jim Supica Hammerless Revolver collection

Little "Pocket Protector" pistols including Baby Hammerless, velodogs, Iver Johnsons, H&Rs, rarities, oddities, engraved pieces, and much more too weird to easily explain or justify will be included in future 2023 RIA auctions.  Check back for details.

Bailey Brower, Jr., passed away in October 2022.  He was the author of Savage Pistols.  His collection was possibly the finest known Savage pistol collection and branched into related models.  He made the decision to sell his remarkable collection in 2020, and all his remaining guns will be sold through Rock Island Auction over the course of a year or so.
